A craggy forest path, bleak with winter trees, leafless, except dotted by occasional yew
trees, far older than the newly planted copse. There is interest in the dark leaves and
branches of the yew tree, contrasted against the pale, washed out twigs and branches
of the deciduous saplings. The light is bleached and quite atmospheric, acting as a foil
to the rich green yew tree which is compositionally placed against the curving path.
